Perspectives - Word definitions

Metanarrative: Narrative that is experimental and explores methods of storytelling through provided patterns or structures for people's beliefs or way of living to give meaning.

Essentialism:  A belief that individuals will possess a set of characteristics or attributes that are there purely for their identity and function.

Utopian: A place or state with a specific aim for perfection to its maximum.

Axiomatic: Something that is self-evident and cannot be questioned or argued with.

Dystopian: A place considered as unpleasant or frightening, with its elements responsible for the negative environment.

Scepticism: A doubt or attitude that questions one's knowledge or beliefs, sometimes even challenging a set truth.

Relativism: A belief that truth and morality is is not absolute, and that it relies on culture, society and history.

Pluralism: A society consisting of multiple individuals with different views or beliefs that may contradict one another, yet they all stick to their own tradition despite others around them.
