Premise - Rough Character Design

I have created another design for my alien character, while looking back at all my previous thumbnails throughout the project. I have revisited some of my very first ideas for this character, considering alien hair and a more simple style. I have also considered the outfit, looking at more retro Sci-Fi and trying to design the outfit as slightly more loose fitting as opposed to skin-tight. I tried sketching out a variety of different lengths/widths/shapes and considered previous aspects of some thumbnails, in order to help myself see what I thought looked good or not so good, in order to visualize what I thought looks more appealing.

@phil From Script to Screen Premise and Logline

The Premise After a plastic surgeon loses his confidence and boards a cruise ship to get away from it all, it takes an unexpected and unlikely friend to help bring back the spark he needs. The Logline Gerald Harrington is a plastic surgeon whose composure is blown when he makes a mistake on one of his patients, causing him to flee from his city on a cruise ship to diminish his guilty conscience. When he finds a troubled and lost jelly fish at sea, he uses all that he knows along with the light bulb in his room to help it out.

@alan JPJ - Ribbon Spine

I have completed the ribbon spine, however at the end stage when I aligned the ribbon spine to match the body of Jetpack Jones, I noticed that the ribbon_spine_misc_grp did not follow the locator group to the body when I lifted the group up, and instead it stayed down by the grid.

Major - All Characters

Major - Final Scientist Characters

My scientist characters are now completed, and I will have three variations of these. The first one is the lead scientist, who wears the white hazmat suit. More elements that distinguish this outfit are the golden star on the badge, and the strap around the left arm. The other two variations of scientists are both red, with one that has a single stripe on the badge, and the other which has two on there. These red scientists are general characters that there will be multiple of, whereas the lead scientist is a main character and there will only be one.

Film Review: The Cabinet of Dr Caligari.

Robert Wiene's The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari (1920) tells a story of paranoia and intense delusion through the mind of protagonist Francis. (Friedrich Feher) The prologue opens up the story with Francis, beginning to tell a tale of the terrors he and his lover Jane (Lil Dagover) faced in the town of Holstenwall. A flashback through his mind is then shown, introducing the eerie town and its strange structures throughout. The two-dimensional sets are dark, skewed and unrealistically disproportional. With nonparallel windows, spiky edges, wonky buildings and distorted walls, it isn't too outrageous to assume fairly early on that something in the film is up. Dr. Caligari (Werner Krauss) is introduced early on in the flashback, where he introduces somnambulist Cesare (Conrad Veidt) to the town of Holstenwall. The apparent sleepwalker tells Francis' best friend Alan (Hans Heinrich von Twardowski) That he is going to be dead by the break of dawn. Alan is mysteriou...
