@phil From Script to Screen Premise and Logline

The Premise After a plastic surgeon loses his confidence and boards a cruise ship to get away from it all, it takes an unexpected and unlikely friend to help bring back the spark he needs. The Logline Gerald Harrington is a plastic surgeon whose composure is blown when he makes a mistake on one of his patients, causing him to flee from his city on a cruise ship to diminish his guilty conscience. When he finds a troubled and lost jelly fish at sea, he uses all that he knows along with the light bulb in his room to help it out.

Premise - Rough Character Design

I have created another design for my alien character, while looking back at all my previous thumbnails throughout the project. I have revisited some of my very first ideas for this character, considering alien hair and a more simple style. I have also considered the outfit, looking at more retro Sci-Fi and trying to design the outfit as slightly more loose fitting as opposed to skin-tight. I tried sketching out a variety of different lengths/widths/shapes and considered previous aspects of some thumbnails, in order to help myself see what I thought looked good or not so good, in order to visualize what I thought looks more appealing.

@Alan Minor - Character Hand Modelling Progress Issues

I have been modelling my alien's fingers and hand. While I am still in the process of attaching and sculpting the thumb, along with needing to add more geometry to the hand still, I am concerned about the fingers. I tried to make his fingers look more alien-like and slim, but in the finger joint areas I am getting strange creases appearing from some angles. I wanted to make the finger knuckles look more prominent and less tubular as a whole, but whenever I arrange the geometry to get rid of the creases in the side of the finger joints, the finger loses the shape and prominence of the joints. I am unsure about where I may need to add geometry in the fingers to solve this issue, especially as the character has long fingers. I am also slightly concerned about whether the hand will be able to form a convincing fist during the later stages, due to the size of the fingers.

Film Review: The Sixth Sense

M. Night Shyamalan's 1999 Horror/Thriller The Sixth Sense is an intensely chilling tale, that approaches horror in a remarkably special way thanks to the adroit artistry behind the screenplay. Bruce Willis stars in this film as child psychiatrist Dr. Malcolm Crowe , who feels strongly inclined to take on the challenge of helping Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment) overcome his personal issues that tackle him everyday. Malcolm is drawn to assisting the young boy after a previous patient of his in the past felt failed and came back to attack and shoot Malcolm in his own house years later, which is seen at the very start of the film. For Malcolm, he very much needs to fulfill this task, to redeem himself for not being able to prevent his previous patient (who is also very similar to Cole) from heading down a dark and wrong path before. After the film's unexpected and violent start featuring Bruce Willis getting shot almost straight away, (after the a...
